Parent & ABVM basketball coach Bill Dani enjoys spending time with his family, and being in the outdoors. He likes hunting, fishing, woodworking, hiking, astronomy and reading. His favorite sports are college basketball, college football and baseball.
His favorite book is The Everlasting Man by G.K. Chesterton. He says it is a clever and articulate Christian apologetic written by a divinely-gifted man who effortlessly defends our faith with common sense and remarkable wit.
Bill says at the 5th/6th grade level, improvement at basketball can come slowly. With that in mind, he says the hardest thing about coaching this sport is convincing athletes to continue to follow coaching advice even though results are often not immediate.
When asked what advice he can give to ABVM students he said “Improvement in sports will come to anyone who is willing to learn the fundamentals of the sport and to persevere in practicing. Do not be discouraged by failure. Instead, use it to your advantage by understanding why and acting to overcome it in the future”. Thank you for your commitment to & passion for ABVM athletics Bill! You are Awesome!
